No wrapping paper? No problem!

Who says beautiful Christmas gifts need fancy wrapping paper?

Creative ways to wrap photo books

This Christmas, we're skipping the wrapping paper aisle and getting a little creative with things we already have at home. A piece of fabric, an old lace tablecloth, some leftover yarn or even a sheet of baking paper. Turns out, the possibilities are pretty endless!

And when the gift inside is as personal as a photo book, why not make the outside just as special? Here are a few of our favorite ways to wrap your Christmas gifts with a little extra love (and a lot less shopping).

A table with white cloths and pieces of fabric and decoration, read beads, pearls a cut our star, pink yarn and potato stamps.

1

Give old fabrics a new purpose

That pretty piece of fabric you've been saving for something? This is its moment! Thin fabrics, old napkins and even lace tablecloths make beautiful gift wraps. Fold, tie, tuck and voilà! A gift that looks almost too lovely to open.

The best part? The fabric can be used again and again.

2

Think outside the wrapping paper roll

You might be surprised by what makes great wrapping paper. We tried crepe paper, baking paper and even layered different materials for a little extra texture.

Don't worry about making it perfect. A few wrinkles and uneven folds just add to the charm

The top photo book is white with a Moomin pattern and the bottom one you can only see a hint of with a red ribbon. There are also flowers peeking out the top corner.

3

Get creative with ribbons (that aren't ribbons)

No ribbon? Don’t stress!

A bit of yarn, some string or a strip of leftover fabric can do the trick. Wrap it around your gift a few times, tie a bow or make a playful little rosette.

Mix colors, experiment with textures and see what happens. Sometimes the simplest ideas turn out to be the prettiest.

4

Add a little something extra

Here's where you can really have fun! Cut out paper stars, add a few beads, make a tiny rosette or add a handmade decoration.

You don't need fancy crafting supplies. A pair of scissors, some paper and a little imagination will get you surprisingly far.

5

Make it personal, inside and out

A photo book is already filled with memories, but there's always room for a few more words.

Before wrapping yours, add a handwritten note on a page or a little message to the person receiving it. Something sweet, something funny or an inside joke only the two of you understand.

It's those tiny personal touches that make a gift feel extra special.

A little less waste. A lot more love.

The nicest gifts aren't always the ones with the fanciest wrapping. Sometimes they're the ones that come with a little creativity, a personal touch and a story worth sharing. So before buying another roll of wrapping paper, have a look around your home. You might already have everything you need to make something wonderful.

Happy wrapping! ❤️
