In today’s fast-paced world, there aren’t many things that actually last. We tend to buy things and get bored with them quickly. But memories...they become more precious with the passage of time. So help yourself remember to remember by creating your very own collection of memories that will actually last for generations.

Recap your year by adding a summary at the end of each month describing what you got up to. The things you might not remember in a few years – maybe you ate the same dinner almost every night because the kids wouldn’t eat anything else, or you had a big presentation at work that you’re incredibly proud of. Those little details will make you smile when you’re looking back at your book years down the line.

Instead of sorting your photos in chronological order, make your book a little different and add chapters based on emotions. A few pages with all the laughs this year, another with all the meltdowns, the third filled with beach vibes, and the next with cozy nights at home. You get the idea!

This one is for all the writers out there! Your year book doesn’t necessarily need to be just a photo book. You can make it your journal too. You can use it to reflect on the past year, what lessons you learned, what you did too little or too much of, what moments mattered the most, what you’re most grateful for.
Use these reflection questions to get you started (and read our blog for more ideas):

Divide your year book by season, from summer’s sizzling adventures to winter’s cozy escapades. Just add a chapter for each season and write a little summary followed by tons of photos. It’ll be like flipping through a visual calendar filled with all your shenanigans.
