Forget what you look like! What story is the photo telling? What memories live inside it?
Looking at photos, what do you see? Often when looking at recent photos of ourselves, we can be pretty critical of what we see. But as time goes on, we start to see other things in the photos and remember how we felt instead.
The way we look becomes much less important and the memory that the photo shows becomes what we focus on. So the next time you’re going through photos on your phone and want to delete them because of how you look, Don’t! Forget the way you look and try and think of the memory instead! And then add them to your photo books. It’s worth it, we promise!
“The way we look becomes much less important and the memory that the photo shows becomes what we focus on.”
This summer: Stop being the only one responsible for documenting and creating your family’s story. Stop saying no to having your photo taken and pass the camera to someone else!
Five things to live by this summer:
1
Get in the photo
2
Let people take my photo
3
Focus on the feel of the photo, not what I look like
4
Ask people to take my photo
5
Don't delete any photos
What do you think? Can you get onboard with our Momifesto this summer?
