Accessibility statement for Once Upon app & web app

We want our app and online photo book creator to be accessible and usable for as many people as possible. This statement applies to the Once Upon mobile app (iOS and Android) and the web app used to design photo books in a browser.

We aim to meet the accessibility requirements set out in the European standard EN 301 549, which is based on WCAG 2.1 level AA, and we are continuously working to improve the accessibility and usability of all of our digital content.

How accessible is the app?

We regularly perform manual testing to identify opportunities to improve the accessibility of both the app and the web app. While many parts are accessible, we are aware that some areas still need improvement.

Known limitations

Some areas of the app and web app may not yet be fully accessible, such as:

  • - Not all non-text content is described with text alternatives for assistive technologies.
  • - The app is not fully usable with keyboard-only navigation.
  • - Focus indicators are not always clearly visible when navigating without a touchscreen or mouse.
  • - Screen readers like VoiceOver may not consistently detect page language, system messages, or allow users to skip repeated content.

Improvements in progress

Accessibility is an ongoing priority, and we are committed to identifying and addressing potential barriers.
